In the year 1972, a Brazilian entrepreneur by the name of Fabio Auriemo founded a small real estate development firm in the city of Sao Paulo. The company was named JHSF Participacaoes. Over the next 30 years, JHSF Participacaoes would grow into one of the most important real estate development firms that the country of Brazil had ever known. In 1993, Fabio Auriemo decided to step away from his duties as the president of the firm, passing the reins of the company on to his son, Jose Auriemo Neto.
Under the leadership of Jose Auriemo Neto, the firm would enter a new era of expansion and profitability. Auriemo Neto was far more aggressive than his father had ever been in expanding and taking on ambitious projects. He was able to quickly begin growing the firm and expand it into markets that the company had never engage in before. Today, the company has five different arms, ranging from the construction of luxury condominium facilities all the way to the administration of parking structures throughout the cities of Sao Paulo, Salvador and Manaus.
Auriemo Neto has gained a reputation as a leader and a real estate developer who is unafraid to go where no other has gone before him. One example is the sprawling complex known as Parque Cidade Jardim, which was recently built in the city of Sao Paulo. The Parque Cidade Jardim complex consists of nine high-rise luxury condominium towers, four state-of-the-art office building and one of the most luxurious shopping facilities anywhere in the country, featuring Luis Vuitton, Reebok Academy and a Cinemark mega-theater.
So popular did Parque Cidade Jardim prove to be with prospective residents and tenants that the facility had actually sold out before the first condominium unit ever was completed. What’s more, the land on which the Parque Cidade Jardim facility was built was one of the most neglected and derelict properties in the entire city. Today it stands as a glistening testament to Auriemo Neto’s ingenuity.
